Congratulations to the winners of the Western Native Trout Award in this year’s Fish Art Contest. The 2022 Fish Art Contest by Wildlife Forever is supported by Bass Pro Shops, US Forest Service, Native Trout Initiative, The International Game Fish Association, National Fish Habitat Partnership and Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation. This year’s Fish Art Contest Western Native Trout Award winners will be shared over the next twelve days on WNTI’s Facebook and Instagram feeds.
The Fish Art Contest was inspired in 1997 by a 5th grader’s homework assignment and has grown into an international competition introducing young people to the wonders of fish, the joy of fishing, and the importance of aquatic conservation. The Fish Art Contest uses art, science, and creative writing to foster connections to the outdoors and inspire the next generation of stewards. The Fish Art Contest is open to all youth in grades K-12 (ages 5-18) and includes multiple categories including the Western Native Trout Award.
