Intermountain West Joint Venture: Shoring up the Banks on Nevada Creek (MT)

Fighting erosion has long been the name of the game for landowners along Nevada Creek. But, over a decade of restoration work on this major tributary to Montana’s Blackfoot River is starting to pay off—for ranchers and for fish.

Intermountain West Joint Venture’s Water 4 and Partnering to Conserve Sagebrush Rangeland efforts share compelling wet meadow and sagebrush conservation stories.  Shoring Up the Banks on Nevada Creek (MT) tell the story of partnership and perseverance.  WNTI is proud to have been a partner in funding the fish screen for this decades long effort to improve habitat for Westslope Cutthroat Trout and Bull Trout.
