The Western Native Trout Initiative is all about getting projects done that will help improve the abudance of western native trout across a variety of landscapes. WNTI has worked to try to develop funding for projects that local native trout interest groups can us to get habitat and population improvments completed.

Although only 3 years old, WNTI has helped to directly garner over $2,000,000 million dollars for 52 enhancement efforts across the west. Some of these projects have been completed, some are in progress, and some will start construction in 2009 or 2010.

Finding funding for a project you wish to see accomplished is at the heart of WNTI's Mission and purpose.
